Taste of Oceanside 2026: A Visitor’s Guide
Taste of Oceanside returns to Downtown Oceanside on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 1:30–5 p.m. This walkable culinary event lets visitors explore the city one bite at a time while meeting the restaurants, cafés, breweries, wineries and specialty-food businesses that give downtown its character.
Unlike a conventional food festival held in one location, Taste of Oceanside takes guests inside participating businesses throughout the downtown district. The 2026 event is expected to feature approximately 70 tasting stops, live music, DJs, local art and themed Taste Hubs.
What Your Ticket Includes
Each attendee receives an event map, reusable tasting cup and commemorative spork. Participants can follow their own route on foot or use the complimentary Taste Trolley to travel between key areas.
The food-and-nonalcoholic-beverage ticket is open to all ages. Alcohol-inclusive tickets and the VIP option are restricted to guests 21 and older.
MainStreet Oceanside currently lists the following base ticket prices:
- Food plus nonalcoholic beverages: $60
- Food plus alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages: $80
- VIP First Taste: $115
Online service fees are additional.
Only 1,200 tickets are being offered, and event organizers report that Taste of Oceanside has sold out for the past five years. Purchasing in advance is recommended.
New VIP First Taste Experience
The new VIP First Taste experience begins at 12:30 p.m., one hour before general admission.
VIP attendees receive early access to a featured Taste Hub with samples from approximately five to ten vendors, music, DJs, special experiences and a downtown swag bag. At 1:30 p.m., VIP guests can continue to the full event and explore the remaining tasting locations.
Early VIP access applies only to the designated VIP hub. Other participating locations open when general admission begins.
Make It an Oceanside Beach Getaway
Guests staying at North Coast Village can enjoy the beach in the morning before walking or taking a short ride into downtown for the event. After an afternoon of tastings, North Coast Village provides a comfortable beachfront setting close to the harbor, pier and downtown restaurants.
